The processing field is the largest application field of laser technology. The experimental teaching of laser processing technology is a technology teaching mode of cutting and carving materials by using the characteristics of interaction between laser beam and materials and identifying objects as light sources, which has become the key technology of industrial production automation.
① In the process of laser processing, the laser beam energy density is high, the processing speed is fast, and it is local processing, which has no or little influence on non-laser irradiated parts;
② It can do the best precision machining for non-metallic materials;
③ No contact machining, no direct impact on the workpiece, so no mechanical deformation, and the energy and moving speed of high-energy laser beam can be adjusted, so a variety of machining purposes can be achieved;
④ There is no "tool", wear and no "cutting force" acting on the workpiece during laser processing;
⑤ The laser beam is easy to be guided and focused to realize the change of various directions, and it is very easy to cooperate with the CNC system to process complex workpieces, so it is a very flexible processing method;
